Best New Sports Bar - Club in Chiang Mai What a great Sports Bar. Winstons is new. A very appealing layout, a wide choice of live sports and the beautiful friendly bi lingual staff just draws you in. There is 1 overhead projector on a large screen and 5 x 55" TV Screens around to cover everyones game or match. Main events generally go on the overhead screen but the pretty helpful staff will try to cater for everyone. Pre ordering sporting preference is possible, but generally first come first serve. Just across the main road from Central Kad Suan Kaew Shopping Mall, Winstons is Big but warming, its comfortable, very well laid out, clean light and airy. 40 can be seated at tables, 10 in the VIP corner, and 12 around the bar. There is seating outside available too for smokers and non smokers. What sets it apart is the atmosphere and the staff. Both Thai and foreigners get along very well during the live sports. There are 2 pool tables, (one American type pool table and the other table standard competition table) The prices are very reasonable and a nice surprise for such an up market looking place. this suits locals and foreigners. There is free food every other Saturday, (get in early.) Mid week specials. Thai food and bar snacks, lets face it most people want to have a drink and a nibble whilst watching the Sport. Plenty of dry parking below the club. (which there is a very small charge by the authorities, but this can be redeemed at the bar. There are clean toilets on the premises. The young pretty friendly smiling staff who welcome you on arrival is a lovely change to the norm. They will bring your drinks and leave you get on with the game unless you want a chat with them or someone to play pool with. This makes you feel comfortable and relaxed straight away. Almost forgot to mention they serve a good range of drinks but they do sell Black Rat Cider also, which like the place, I love. Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed.
