The resort is right next door and has its own restaurant but the food at Lae Lay was much more affordable in comparison to the resort and many other restaurants on the island and delicious! I tried their steamed crabs, grilled squid, stir fried beef, white rice and fruit shakes. All great! Most of my trips there consisted or getting fruit shakes because they were only 50 baht compared to 90 at the resort. Definitely recommend! Quick note for the traveler on a budget, to save costs, my husband and I also got chicken and beef on a stick from the food vendors near the beach and picked up rice from this restaurant. They packed it in an ecofriendly container and provided spoons.
