I don't often feel impressed, but this place did it for me. Good location, very unassuming. Nice entrance, small and not overly decorated, and cool in terms of temperature without fans blowing in your face which is good. Seats about 20 I think... so not crowdy... just calm/not too intimate and a nice overall feeling. I think 3 or 4 tables. Great welcome, happy smiling guy, knew who we were and we sat down. Attended to immediately.. attentive but not intrusive or rushed. Usual range of drinks, water. We called a week or two in advance to request no seafood ( I know that's odd but it must just be a family thing, not one of us eat seafood) and being in Thailand that must be quite an odd request. However, guy was aware of the request and they had planned the menu for us around this. He read out the menu and it sounded amazing. And it was. From start to finish it was outstanding. Each dish well presented, good temperature. Small delicate dishes. Full of flavour and all worked well. Cooked to perfection. During the courses (4-5courses) we could see the chef working in the kitchen with his assistants. All calm and under control everybody appears to understand exactly what they are doing. Great great food. Cost about 50-70 pounds per person. Not huge portions but we left feeling great and not bloated, it was just right. We met the Chef afterwards, lovely man. You'd be mad not to try this place out. You have got to book in advance. I'll definitely go back. Deserts were so good and good coffee. 10/10
For a very long time I have not eaten so good. He presents a journey through seafood and meat at the highest level. And I have been travelling and looking for good food quite a lot.
It's worth all the effort to come here.
To me it was unexpected. I have been recommended and tried a lot of the best spots of the island but this experience was by far the best.
We went here for dinner tonight based on the reviews across the Internet and it did not disappoint! The food was the best food we have had the entire holiday. The 4 courses were more like 12 and would recommend you bring an appetite.
