We took the scooters here, hang out almost a whole day. The food here is quite nice. We had a problem with the girl/staff being really bad in both understanding and speaking English, why we had to check several times if she wrote the right down that we ordered. There are many nice details here and the chairs and tables are made by reused wood. Would recommend to everyone.

The island sits about 1.5 km from the mainland about 20 km north of Bang Niang. The island is accessible from the ferry pier at Ban Nam Khem where there are throngs if passenger and motorcycle ferries at your disposal. For those driving a car over.. the car ferry runs between 8 am to 6 pm and costs 150 Thb per car. Generally the island is frequented by holiday makers from Khao Lak and area as it is the perfect place to escape the crowds and have a leisurely motor scooter trip. The island has a beautiful paved 2 lane highway running the full 22 km length of the island. Many side roads (Soi’s) jet off from the main road that take you to many of the inner island treats. The price of the motor cycle and passenger ferry is 20 Thb per person and 20 Thb for your motorbike. NOTE After 6 pm prices double but ferries are available 24/7. Among the more popular locations is Sunset Beach Restaurant, bar and general “ Chill Out” destination located close to the Northern Tip of the island. Away from the crowds, the beach is amazing and is beautifully complimented by the uniquely attractive set up of the area. Plants, flowers, and beach art style accessories in the area make this place special for visitors. Enjoy a fabulous motor bike drive away from the traffic, a great lunch and amazing beach location. A very nice way to spend a day.
