Not a big beer drinker so this is just a review of the food. I have tried most of the items on their menu. All the food is excellent. I especially like the buffalo wings. They are best in the town in my opinion. The ribs are great too. Burgers are tasty and no gristle in their beef. Not a huge sausage fan, but we tried their sausage plate and hot dogs which were both quite good. The meatball sub is the only good one in Bangkok that I have found. They also have a chicken parmigiana sandwhich which is also difficult to find in Bangkok. I probably eat here 2 or 3 times per week. Great little place for American style comfort food in Bangkok. Their location in Ekamai is a bit tough to get to if you are driving, but definitely worth it if you live in the area.
I ate at The Fat Tap with my friend in early January 2018. I had a meatball submarine sandwich with fries and a drink, and my friend had a hamburger with fries and a bottle of beer. We were both impressed by the high quality of the food, and the prices were reasonable too. It was also easy to find the location of this restaurant / bar. We both highly recommend this place for a decent meal, good music, and a relaxing atmosphere.
This place is unique, it feels like a little gem in the heart of the city. Homely atmosphere, friendly crowd, professional staff, and an absolutely irresistible menu of mouth-watering western treats (like mozzarella sticks and stuffed Jalapeño Peopers). To wash this down, a selection of ales, from Oatmeal Stouts to Grapefruit IPAs. Great live, original music too.
