My husband and I visited Chez Khao Soi as a recommendation from a travel blog. We were in Chiang Mai on our honeymoon and were determined to eat Khao Soi. When we showed up we were the only customers, but don't let that fool you. We actually enjoyed the "private" dining experience. The restaurant is on the Ping River and has a very eclectic decor. It feels very cozy. The owner did not give us menus, rather made a recommendation and we went with it. She apologized for how long it took to bring out the dishes, but honestly it was about 10 minutes. She explained how to eat the dish and offered to take photos of us. This was the best dish I had in Chiang Mai. It brought me that same nostalgic comfort of eating chicken noodle soup in America, except much more flavor. I don't have any other Khao Soi to compare it to, but that's okay. I don't imagine ever having a better Khao Soi. The owner (I regret not getting her name) spoke with us for a while. She was the sweetest and even offered to help us get an Uber. When the Uber showed up she escorted us across the street and explained to the driver where to take us. I am so happy we stopped here. Not only was the Khao Soi delicious, but the place was charming and the owner was so kind. The meal was very affordable, but I recommend bringing small bills/coins. There is a clean restroom. Among Thai the owner also speaks English and French. Wish we would've made this our first stop in Chiang Mai!

Beautiful restaurant right by the river decorated with love in detail, it's like a open Livingroom in Thailand Style. The owner is a very nice lady who speaks good english, she even cooked the traditional Chiang Mai Egg Noodles, with Tofu for me even though it wasn't on the menu and she gave bananas from her own garden, she grows as much as possible in her own garden so you really have a homade and fresh meal. It's a magical setting where you can releax.
