Really good food with decent sized portions, staff are really nice. I come here at least once a week when im in Chiang Mai. The also have an upstairs area where you can enjoy eating or just having a coffee & relaxing on the couches in a more laidback environment.
Without a doubt the best pancakes in Chiang Mai! The owner is so friendly and welcoming, we love coming here!!
I am not going to lose any weight now that I found this place so close to home.
We found this place a few weeks back after seeing a sign with their cute Gingerbread man logo on Canal Road a bit South of the old city. It's behind the Rimping Grocery in the Mae Hia Market complex.
The owner is the sweetest Thai lady who speaks excellent English. She says she makes everything fresh, and it tastes like it. I've been trying to eat everything on the menu, but they even added a few items this week (waffle sandwich, anyone? Homemade English Muffin Breakfast Sandwich? So good!)
The building is new, super clean and kept cool. They lower the blinds when the sun hits low from over the mountains in the distance. So far every server I've spoken with has English as good as mine, and they are always refilling your ice water while you wait.
There's a little area for hanging out or for kids, as well as an upstairs lounge room with comfy couches, plenty of fans, and space to get things done if you need to open your laptop. The lounge at this point isn't too crowded and is very quiet if you need to talk or concentrate on your screen.
We've gone for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, though they serve breakfast all day (open 8am - 8pm). Since it's still kind of new, it's hit or miss on how crowded it is. There aren't too many tables, but we've not had to wait for one yet.
I want them to do well and busy, but it's a nice quiet place to eat delicious homemade food and get things done in quiet all to myself too!
