First time we visited Barracuda many years ago we were so surprised that you could get this kind of high class food on a small tropical island. Living on Koh Tao a great deal of time, this has become our favorite restaurant. The menu has so many mouthwatering dishes to choose between that we never get tired of coming here. When Barracuda newly also opened at Darawan we instantly understood that this would be a success, excellent food at a spacious place with a magnificent view a bit away from the busiest part, still easy to reach. Fine dining under the stars. The chef is brilliant with tastes. Food is cooked with love and with a twist and very tastfully displayed. Fish, seafood, meat, vegetarian etc, there is something for everyone.
Staff are really nice and attentive, all speaking good English. Start with one of their amazing drinks, passionfruit mojito or Barracuda special. And if you have some space left after the main dish, finish off with a dessert to die for, double chocolate tart or lime and ginger cheesecake. Prices are low comparing to what you get, portions are large! A dinner at Barracuda is a must while visiting Koh Tao. For avoiding disapointment, remember to book your table!
Barracuda at Darawan is every bit as good as the original restaurant, but now with a big open location and a fabulous view! It's a must visit place for anyone coming to Koh Tao. Open from 3pm until late, it's got an extensive menu of thai/western fusion dishes, with a variety of meat, fish, vegetarian, and side dishes. There's lots of appetisers too, shared platters, and some amazing desserts, as well as very tasty cocktails! The staff are friendly and helpful, it's easy to find, and there's lots of parking. You can see their full menus listed on their website, and you can book via phone or facebook.
Barracudas new location at Darawan is the perfect combination. Fine dining and class surroundings and views. I cannot recommend them enough. Cocktails at sunset with appetizers, followed by delicious main courses. The staff are friendly and attentive and give good advice. Love it!!
