Lodged in FlowerPower for the first time after a very anticipated wait. For the past three years I have seen the GreatMarco and ExquisiteSimona expand this place from a deli supermarket that always stocked my favorite Nonna baked goods to a superb restaurant where the content, presentation, and lovely atmosphere at a fantastic price make this the best bargain in Southern Thailand, especially for an island.
Remember that Koh Phayam just recently got electricity, so just thinking about the headache involved in having A/C rooms to offer powered by rechargeable batteries and solar cells and so many thoughts that one takes for granted as part of an infrastructure: one solid team in this couple that made their dream come true on this island paradise, a true lovechild that will always be on my mind after 1001 overnighters. God bless you folks you make coming back here coming back to more than family

One of the top spots in the whole country. I know what you think. The whole country? In Thailand where everyone is friendly and nice? Yes. That's what I mean. Add the Italian (yes, they're Italian, although they look like a retired Swedish Death Metal band members) attitude and hospitality to the Thai and you will get the perfect match.
The food's Italian (the only real competition to the great Thai food, right?) and the staff and owners are super friendly. The only thing that separates Flower Power from the definition off PERFECT is that that they are not on the beach. Wherever you stay on Kho Phayam - you should check this place out. It's an experience that will stay with you.
And no - I did not get a free drink to write this, although I know that I will get a hug when I come back ;) ...but I would get one even without this review, because it's real ;)
