(ต้นฉบับ) Incredible place to stay and best veggie food we’ve had in Thailand. If you come to Koh Lanta and don’t stay in Thai Smile Bungalows- you must be crazy! It is such an incredible value for money (super clean rooms, AC, great setting, good shower, nice balcony to chill at).. 50 minutes walk to Long Beach, you can also grab a tuk tuk and be there in 15. This place has everything. Owner Dave is great, super helpful and friendly. What I have to mention- this place does incredible food, we’ve had insane curries and pad thai and fried noodles- my personal favourite. For curries just ask Dave for recommendation - shu shi curry was beyond tasty! They have chicken and pork meals , but as we don’t eat meat they tailored it perfectly with tofu and vegetables. We are sad that we’re leaving tomorrow, would love to stay longer!

(ต้นฉบับ) Dave is an amazing host. Whether it was a.m. coffee, hassle-free (and inexpensive) scooter rentals or laundry. Everything you need is at Thai Smile. Lek is a ridiculously great chef. I had the Massuman curry twice and couldn’t get enough. Just get to the restaurant early as the tables go fast! The location is off the main road, so it’s nice and quiet. There are only 6 bungalows and they are very clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable, fresh sheets and towels every two days. Shampoo and soap provided as well as free water in a reusable water bottle. Lucky and Mr. Concrete (the cats) will keep you company as well. And the garden around the bungalows is gorgeous! The beach at Klong Khong is a bit rocky, so it’s okay to swim in at higher tide, but not so much at low tide. However, it makes up for it with great bars, restaurants and epic sunsets. This was more than a place to stay. We made great friends here and were so sad to leave!!!!

The food is the best I have had so far in Thailand and the rooms are clean, tidy and have everything you could need. Nice beaches are within easy walking distance but the bungalows are nice and quiet. The service is second to none, thanks Lek and Dave for a great stay and we are sad to leave.

(ต้นฉบับ) Wir genießen gerade unseren Aufenthalt bei Thai Smile Bungalows. Die Bungalows sind gut ausgestattet und super sauber. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Eine solche Gastfreundschaft habe ich bisher noch nie erlebt. Das hauseigene Restaurant ist ausgezeichnet und ich kann jedem (auch von außerhalb) empfehlen hier essen zu gehen. Diese Unterkunft würde ich sofort wieder besuchen!

Wir (mit meiner Frau Erika und unserer 4 1/2-jährigen Tochter Lina) sind nun schon seit 2 1/2 Wochen bei Lek, Dave, Chen, Bow und Goi, bleiben noch 3 Tage und wollen gar nicht mehr weg. Es ist wunderschön, so offenherzig und liebevoll in die Familie aufgenommen zu sein, optimales Essen zu genießen (besonders hats mir der Fisch angetan - White Snapper, Barracuda, natürlich auch die wunderbaren Thaigerichte, von Lek perfekt gekocht), hilfsbereit, großzügig (wieviele Geschenke bekamen wir, besonders unsere Tochter Lina) und jederzeit 100-prozentig betreut zu sein in dieser prächtigen und sauberen Anlage, die keinen Wunsch offen lässt. Danke für Eure Freundschaft, die tiefen Gespräche mit Dir, Dave, und die wunderschöne Zeit, die Ihr uns auf unserer 1. Thailandreise geschenkt habt!!! Wir wünschen Euch allen, besonders unserem lieben Bow "one Chang!!!" ;) eine glücklichen und gesunden Lebensweg! Wir kommen wieder!

Had a fabulous stay with Dave, Lek and Bow. Bungalows and food first rate along the welcome and service. Great location to discover the rest of the island. All our thanks for a lovely stay, Sharon and David (pogba 6 for bow! �)

Die Tage in den Thai Smile Bungalows waren echt toll!! Dave & Lek waren super nette ,hilfsbereite Gastgeber & die Bungalows sind sehr gepflegt . Vor allem war das Essen echt lecker . Wir würden immer wieder dort buchen :)

We loved our stay here! When we first arrived we already thought it looked really pretty with their gardens and fish pond, but for me the whole thing came together when the owners came out with the cutest fluffy kitten! The English owner Dave was very nice and accommodating, and his Thai wife Lek cooks the best meals you'll ever have. Beautiful, spacious and clean rooms with comfy beds. We'll be coming back again :)

The bf and I went to Koh Lanta for a short break last weekend. We were staying in a friend's bungalow "Thai Smile Bungalows". I love the place, the room, the company, the champagne and especially the food!!! Lek is the hostess and undoubtedly she is a good cook!!! I can't stop myself for eating every Thai dishes she made for us. Dave is the host and he is a good tour guide, he brought us to few places in the island. And of course, thanks to my bf for the arrangement. Honestly have to say I enjoyed so much in the place. The more we have, the more we share. Friends, for those who are going, planning to go or no plan yet .... Please visit/ consider the place Koh Lanta (nearby Krabi), especially choose to stay in the bungalows for few days. The room is clean and is cleaned everyday. The bed is really comfortable and I have had wonderful sweet sleeping overthere. Of course, not forgetting the owners, they are very friendly, welcoming, nice, kind and warm. Whatever u need, they would try their best to assist you. As its (Thai Smile Bungalows) name, so is it! Smile always be found on their face. Find a reason to smile friends...

What a great place to stay !!! Everything is perfect ! Great bungalows with fantastic bed and bathroom .great And quite area to sleep, little bar with good drinks! Also the restaurant is top . Dave and lek are verry friendly Lokation is central and nearby freedom bar and a relaxbay!! The only disapointing thing is... That we only stay 2 nights at Thai smile bungalows ! You have to visit dave & lek

Best accomodation with the greatest food on Koh Lanta. I will definitely come back!

If -- no, WHEN -- I'm back in lovely Ko Lanta, I will want to stay here and nowhere else!

Sandra and I are in the middle of a 10 week trip through Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. We thought an 8 day beach vacation in the middle would be a good way to recharge the batteries. Staying at Thai Smile Bungalows was just perfect for chillin' out. The new, clean, landscaped exclusive community of only 5 bungalows, together with an outdoor bar, dining and shaded bamboo lounge was perfect! Better still, Dave and Lek, the owners and operators, treat you like a guest and friend making your stay very comfortable. Lek is a fabulous cook so we ate almost all our meals here. Dave, was a great host providing us with background on Thai customs and did all sorts of things above and beyond to help us enjoy our visit. These bungalows are a short walk to the Klong Khong beach in Koh Lanta but a long way from the hustle and bustle of the parties and bars, in a good way! A great place to relax, but if you want to party hardy, it's a five minute walk away. I would highly recommend Thai Smile Bungalows to seasoned travellers that would appreciate a good thing when they came across it! We will be back!

me and my husband super in love with the place. We didn't expect it would be that good, super comfy bed,2 cute cats. and you can rent a bike as well, really good deal. Sadly, We only stayed there for two nights. We will definitely stay there again for our next trip in Koh Lanta. thanks Dave and Lek! looking forward to see you guys again.

Superb place to stay! There is nothing Dave and Lek won't do for you while you stay here at Thai smile bungalows. Everyone is friendly and welcoming! I know that during my stay with my girlfriend that many people originally booked for a few days and due to how good the service was, many people booked extra nights due to how good everything is. The food was top notch! Superb fresh n hearty Thai food. Leks food has gained popularity among the Thais also on the island it's that good:) Dave also is known for friendly -nothing is too much for you persona. Both Lek and Dave are generally happy to welcome and cater for your needs. Which is really refreshing. I know I have stayed at some places and as soon as you have handed over any money the service drops.. not here! What matters here from speaking to Dave is "I just want people to be happy" you know what..during our stay at Thai smile bungalows me and my girlfriend really was. The place itself is clean tidy and has everything you need while you spend your days exploring the island. I could only visit for a few days due to work commitments but I will definitely be returning again. I would definite recommend to anyone wanting to stay and explore Koh Lanta! Thai smile definitely had us smiling!

My boyfriend and I originally booked 3 nights, then on our 2nd day, cancelled our next hotel and signed up for 3 more nights at Thai Smile! We love the little community atmosphere Dave and Lek have created, with their limited rooms, picturesque garden, excellent homemade meals and fantastic friendly service. Dave is a great conversationalist and makes you feel like an old friend from day 1. Lek's cooking is top notch quality and very reasonably priced (though we hope to one day see a "Dave's Culinary Creations" section on the menu too)! It's located around several other restaurants and shops, and just a few minutes' from the sand featuring awesome sunsets. Let's not forget the chance to watch the monkeys in the trees in the mornings and their very lovely cat, Lucky. But the best part: I struggled to get out of bed everyday because they're SO INCREDIBLY COMFORTABLE. Best bed I've slept in on our travels by far. A great place to just unwind and relax, for sure.
