I totally recommend this place, if you want to have real Thai food. We let her decide for us what we should have for dinner. Ended up eating the tuna steak and the deep fried barracuda — both were incredibly delicious and made with fresh fish. The place is really nice and simple, you’ll feel that you are the owner’s home, sharing the same living room.

But all other dishes we ordered have been very phantastic. Som's restaurant are one of the last in Ban Tai where you can get authentic Thai food. Must see.

Ich selbst aß ein Massaman Curry Seafood mit Reis. Es war reichlich, mit normalen Kartoffeln und Süßkartoffeln. Auch das Seafood kam nicht zu kurz. Dieses waren Shrimps und kleine Tintenfische. Geschmacklich fand ich es lecker. Massaman Curry gibt es in diesem Lokal auch noch in anderen Varianten, mit Fleisch, nur mit Gemüse oder das Seafood kann man auch nur mit Shrimps bestellen, die übrigens sehr frisch waren. Dafür zahlte ich ca. 3 €! 😀 Andere hatten als Vorspeise einen Papayasalat, den durfte ich probieren und er war köstlich. Kann ich ebenso empfehlen! Die Speisekarte ist recht groß und man hat die Qual der Wahl. Man sitzt dort etwas ab von der Straße, an einem Zugang zum Meer. Der Name des Lokals, leitet sich von der Besitzerin und gleichzeitig Köchin Som ab, die ein gutes, verständliches Englisch spricht. Wir haben uns dort wohl gefühlt, lecker gegessen und können dieses landestypische Lokal guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.
